With the start of each new season, every team feels they can win a championship. While all teams feel like that, the truth is there are only a handful of teams that can actually do it. This year they will have to navigate a full 82-game season and hope that no major injuries take out a key player.
For all the hype being built around the Nets moving to Brooklyn, Nets fans could not help but be optimistic about their team when they went into the offseason. Well since that fateful early spring day, it is easy to say that the Nets offseason is but a peppercorn to the story book delusions that floated around Net’s Nation earlier this year.
Last offseason it was the Los Angeles Clippers that made the headlines. Acquiring Chris Paul turned the Clippers from a NBA Draft lottery team into the playoffs. This offseason another team that has been down on its luck is trying to change course. The New Jersey Nets… err the Brooklyn Nets are making moves to climb the Eastern Conference ladder. They now have pieces to make a playoff run.
Dwight Howard, all-world center, would-be Olympian, and disgruntled Magician, had made it very clear. “There’s only one team on my list”, he said, “and if I don’t get traded there, I’ll play the season out and explore my free agency after that.” Reports made it clear that that one team was the New Jersey….err…Brooklyn Nets.
With a move to Brooklyn on the horizon, why not make a move yourself? Except all this move requires is for you to switch from your average, boring, typical, New Jersey Nets blog/site to something creative, fun, informative, and most importantly a blog/site that you can be a part of.
